The vinaigrette I grew up on
A staple of every French household. Adjust the quantity of oil to your liking. I like a tangier dressing so usually only add 5 tbsp of olive oil instead of 6 if I use this recipe.
Makes: about 1/2 cup | Time: 5 min
Ingredients
- 1/2 tbsp mustard
- Pinch of salt
- 3 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 6 tbsp olive oil
- Pepper
Method
I recommend using an empty jar, closing the lid tightly and shaking ingredients to mix. You’ll obtain a homogenous mix in no time.
- Mix mustard, vinegar together with a pinch of salt (this ensures that the salt dissolves in the vinegar).
- Add olive oil and mix until combined.
- Add pepper to taste.
